The Wellington Street dealership in Oldham was a long-established Vauxhall showroom that served the town for many years before the Vauxhall franchise transferred to larger, more modern premises at Chadderton Way. During its later life, the site became associated with Pentagon Motor Group as dealership operations were consolidated, although the Wellington Street showroom itself eventually closed. There is also local recollection that the dealership had a connection with SAAB, either as an authorised dealer or service outlet, reflecting the period when many Vauxhall retailers also represented other General Motors brands.
